En GripShift, el jugador debe enfrentarse tanto a duras carreras aéreas con variadas rutas como a puzzles y enigmas. El título permite a su vez el desbloqueo de nuevos circuitos y modos de juego, y en él podremos crear nuestras propias pistas con un completo editor, para despés compartir los circuitos que hagamos con otros usuarios.
GripShift implementa un intuitivo control y una física avanzada en la que los caminos alternativos, los saltos y los loopings se convertirán en todo un desafío. Además del modo en solitario contra la máquina, existen modalidades multijugador que se extienden por 8 juegos bonus. Dispone también de 6 personajes seleccionables, cuyos vehículos podremos modificar, cuenta con 100 niveles distintos.
